58469 Ford Bronco 1973
The World Famous 4x4 Off Road Ford Bronco.
The new Tamiya 54869 Ford Bronco captures the essence of the prototype 1970′s Early Broncos which were produced during 1965-1977. Overall, three types of bodies were produced; the fully-open Roadster, the single cabin pick-up Utility, and the Wagon which had a tough resin roof.
The distinctive body design featured triangular protrusions on both sides of the curved front hood which were designed to work as a guide for drivers to accurately judge the body width while driving. Front suspension features coil springs combined with the rigid axle design, which was a first for any mass-produced 4X4 vehicle of its time performing well both on-road and off-road. The Ford Bronco is still a very popular 1:1 truck around the world, particularly in America, where many are used as cross-country and rock crawling vehicles.
About The Tamiya 58469 Ford Bronco RC Model
Tamiya has produced an accurate version of this classic All-American utility vehicle as a detailed but tough self assembly1/10th scale Radio Controlled model, built around their recently introduced, versatile CC-01 Cross Country chassis. A highly detailed polycarbonate replica of the Ford Bronco Wagon body shell sits on top of this chassis perfectly having a real sense of presence both on the display shelf an out in action.
The high performance ground-hugging, long-stroke suspension system comprises of front double wishbones and rear 4-link rigid setups and is equipped with 4 oil dampers. A proven and highly reliable, efficient full-time 4WD system features a front-mounted motor for excellent weight distribution and improved front end grip when crawling. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via the well designed & constructed front gearbox and to the rear wheels via the propeller shaft with universal joints. Front and rear differentials enable smooth cornering on all terrains. For improved off-road performance on rough terrains, the rear differential may be locked during assembly.

58489 Avante 2011
Way back in march 1988, Tamiya unleashed what was to become one of their most famous 4×4 of road buggies, in fact one of the most memorable radio controlled buggies of all time, the Avante. This now legendary machine was and still is highly sought after by RC enthusiasts and collectors worldwide, and in 2011, Tamiya brought the original model back to life in the form of the Avante 2011.
The original machine featured a highly sophisticated and advanced design which set new limits for Radio Controlled Car design back in the day, including a shaft driven 4 wheel drive system, an FRP double-deck chassis layout along with a longitudinally mounted motor and battery pack.
Now, more than 20 years after the original hit the shelves and captured the imagination of RC enthusiasts worldwide, Tamiya has given the Avante the re-release treatment, waving its magic wand yet again to produce this new model.
Tamiya have stayed true to the original model, whilst embracing a few new technologies and advancements along the way. The FRP chassis decks have been replaced by carbon fibre ones, and the front knuckles are made from much stronger and durable aluminium rather than plastic.
The drive train has two very compact gearboxes which are equipped with 3 small planetary gears, a centre differential until along with front and rear universal shafts to efficiently transmit all the power from the included 25T motor to the wheels.

58048 Toyota 4×4 Pickup Bruiser
The Tamiya 58048 Bruiser is direct descendent of the Hilux 4x4, but with a variety of modifications in the style of the Californian mudbog racing pickups which were kind of part regular pickup/part monster truck, but it’s aggressive styling and cool blue colour scheme ensured its success from the moment it was launched. Significant changes have been made from Toyota Hilux as the model only shares minimal common parts; the front/rear axle assembles & some gearbox parts. All other parts on the Tamiya Bruiser were specifically designed for this model.
The single most important feature that differed from the Hilux and Blazer was a real working leaf spring suspension. The previous system fitted to the aforementioned models was far too hard and suffered a lot from many ‘owners’ modifications. Further changes included a new bigger and more powerful RS-750SH motor, even bigger than the 550 sized motors used in most large 4x4 off road vehicles today, such as the traxxas slash, a slipper/clutch spur gear reduced the risk of gearbox damage from the increase of power, plus the addition of much bigger “All Terrain Utility” tyres.
Items that were discarded in the transformation from Hilux to Bruiser include the Hilux’s front wheel manual hub-locking system. These were replaced by one-way bearings in each front hub. The wheels on the Bruiser are of a 3-piece chromed plastic design.
Many owners adopted the use of the Hilux’s 4000mAh battery which has over the years proved to be an essential Bruiser accessory, giving around 30-40 mins running time.
Today the Tamiya 58048 Bruiser is one of the most highly sought after 3-speed RC trucks, possibly due to its unique Double Cab body shell design, or its excellent running capabilities.
